Trans-esterification is one of the essential reactions, which is used in converting bio-mass to valuable chemicals. For industrial trans-esterification process, homogeneous acid or base catalyst have been generally used. But this process has lots of problems, demanding post-processing, requiring high purity reactant, being corrosive for reactor with various side reactions. In this sense, enzyme catalyzed trans-esterification has been focused for more simple and green process. In this work, we prepared ionic liquid grafted solid-support for the immobilization of lipase. We will report on the reactivity of immobilized lipase for the production of fatty acid alkyl ester from trans-esterification of fatty acid. |
