In this study, porous PCL-based polyurethanes with different porous glass or organic microsphere concentration are successfully prepared using polycaprolactone triol (PCL) prepolymer, isophorone diisocyanate as a curing agent, and various amount of either hollow glass microsphere or hollow organic microsphere. Thermal characterizations such as DSC and TGA, as well as dynamic mechanical analysis such as storage modulus, loss modulus, and tan delta are presented in this study. The master curve of storage modulus is generated for each PU composite and used to predict long-term thermomechanical properties of PU composites under a constant sinusoidal strain of 3%. In order to provide an additional information on viscoelastic properties of the composites with a relaxation time distribution, DMA results are further examined in terms of Cole-Cole plot and Wicket plot analysis. |
