제목 Physical and Mechanical Properties of The Functional Packaging Film with Plasticized Poly(lactic acid)/Zeolite Composite
초록 Poly lactic acid (PLA) has been studied in various fields due to its eco-friendly property and high rigidity. However PLA is very brittle, limiting its usages as a flexible food packaging materials. In this study, Triethyl citrate (TEC) is selected as a plasticizer to improve the ductility of PLA. Various composition PLA/TEC (0~20 phr) was prepared with an internal mixer, and the physical and mechanical properties was characterized. The tensile strength was found to be decreased while the elongation at break increased. The optimized concentration of TEC was found to be 15phr showing the well balanced properties of prepared film samples. To evaluate the plasticized PLA as a functional film for fresh cut food packaging, zeolite, having large pores and large specific surface area, was applied to plasticized PLA with different concentration to provide the adsorption function. It was found that adsorption ability for moisture and ethylene increased with addition of zeolite.
