제목 | Fluorinated Polythiophene : Conductive Polymer Synthesis in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide |
초록 | Polythiophene and its derivatives have been investigated intensively in view of their attractive electronic and optical properties. Thiophene has been substituted with a variety of perfluoroalkyl groups with aim of controlling the electronic structure and organization of conjugated polymers based on the polythiophene backbone. It is well known that fluorinated polymers have unusual properties, which are the consequences of the hydrophobicity, rigidity, thermal stability, chemical and oxidative resistance, and self-organization shown by of perfluoroalkyl chains. Apart from these properties they show an excellent solubility in environmentally benign solvents like supercritical fluid carbon dioxide. By exploiting all these properties, we are focusing our research to carry out synthesis of a variety of fluorinated polythiophenes by supercritical fluids to utilize them as organic conductors |
