제목 Bioimaging of Flt1 Peptide – Hyaluronate Conjugate Micelles  for Therapeutic Applications to Ocular Diseases
초록 The eyeball has a complex structure with tight barriers limiting ocular penetration of topically delivered drugs. The residence time of drug carrier in the cornea must be prolonged to enhance the bioavailability of ocular therapeutics. In this work, we carried out bioimaging of Flt1 peptide – hyaluronate (HA) conjugate micelles for therapeutic applications to ocular diseases. The micelles were labeled with HiLyte 647 amine encapsulating a model drug of hydrophobic 5(6)-carboxyfluorescein diacetate N-succinimidyl ester (CFSE). After eye drop of these micelles into rodent eyes and the following enucleation, their long-term distribution in the cornea was clearly visualized by confocal microscopy of sectioned tissues and in vivo real time bioimaging via two photon microscopy. From the results, we could confirm the feasibility of Flt1 peptide – HA conjugate micelles for the treatment of corneal diseases and possibly other ocular diseases.
