제목 | Fabrication of Epsilon Hard Ferrite as an Efficient Millimeter-Wave Absorbing Material |
초록 | Millimeter-waves (MMW, 30-300 GHz) are expected to use as carrier waves for many applications such as the 5G cellular networks, called beyond 5G (B5G). Thus, MMW absorbers required to enhance the performance of MMW communications and suppress noise of highly integrated electronic circuits. Single-phase ε-Fe2O3 with a giant coercivity (Hc, >20 kOe) at room temperature is a good candidate to absorb MMW due to their natural ferromagnetic resonance (fmr, about 180 GHz). However, for the B5G application, the fmr is required to adjust. Thus, in this study, Fe3+ ions of ε-Fe2O3 were replaced by various non-magnetic elements, resulting in tunable frequencies from 60 to 100 GHz. Also, we controlled the substituted sites of Fe ions, resulting in double-enhanced magnetization values. Our strategy would pave the way to prepare high-performance MMW absorbers.
