제목 Comparison of mechanical and interfacial properties of acrylic and epoxy adhesives
초록 This work studied to compare mechanical and interfacial properties of common used two adhesives, acrylic and bisphenol-A type epoxy. Glass transition temperature and heat of reaction were measured by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). Tensile and flexural strength of the neat adhesives were also measured. Lap shear test of two adhesives was deduced from the measurement of tensile and fatigue test. By using acoustic emission (AE), different elastic wave was compared when the adhesive was fractured. The fractured surface of adhesive was observed by electro-microscope. Tensile strength of Bisphenol A epoxy adhesive was better than acrylic adhesive, whereas fatigue strength used by acrylic adhesive was better than epoxy adhesive.
