The different types of γ-Al2O3, supplied by Sasol (Puralox), Saint-Gobain and KRICT (laboratory-made γ-Al2O3), was investigated for Fischer-Tropsch (F-T) synthesis reaction to verify the effect of physicochemical properties of γ-Al2O3. The F-T catalyst was prepared by impregnation method with cobalt nitrate precursor on the phosphorous-pretreated γ-Al2O3 support (denoted as Co/P-Al2O3). The catalytic performance was tested in a continuous stirred tank reactor using squalane solvent. The catalytic performance is related with the dispersion of cobalt particle, surface area and morphology of γ-Al2O3. |
