Fabrication of Aligned and Conductive reduced Graphene Oxide/Polymer Nanocomposites Thin Film for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding |

In this work, we present the fabrication of well-aligned graphene oxide (GO) sheets in a polyvinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene (PVDF-HFP) polymer matrix. Self-aligned graphene/polymer composite thin films were prepared through a simple casting of polymer solution of dispersed graphene oxide in a highly polar organic solvent DMF. GO sheets self-aligned during the film formation, followed by Hydrioidic acid reduction, can produce conducting nanocomposite thin films. The alignment of GO sheets was verified by scanning electron microscopy studies. The resulting composite shows excellent electrical conductivity and efficient EMI shielding effectiveness. |
