Since 1987, Tang and Van Slyke reported that tris (8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminium (Alq3) is able to emit green-fluorescence and Li group also presented N+ cationic of CTAB surfactant can help for synthesis of hexagon microrods, easily. Based on this, we made hexagon Alq3 rods combined probe DNA. When the pDNA-Alq3 rods were reacted with target DNA (perfect match), a significant photoluminescence increased further than single strand Alq3 rods. In addition, surface of perfect matched DNA- Alq3 rods were embossed, because it was mainly composed of DNA and Alq3 particles. Therefore, we suggest that DNA guided Alq3 microrods, using photoluminescence spectrum, will become part of the commercially available sensor. |
