제목 | Various Shapes of Cu(II) Complex and Cu(OH)2 Crystals Growth on the Amine Groups Immobilized PAN Fiber by the Control of Ligands |
초록 | There are so many interests in the metal-chelating polymer complex because of its various applications.1 However, there is no study about the crystal growth on the chelating fiber. Because a polymeric fiber has not synthesized which can grow metal crystals on its surface. In this study, poly(acrylo-amidino ethyleneamine) and poly(acrylo-amidino diethylenediamine) with high adsorption capacity (7.8 and 11.4 meq/g, respectively)2 were synthesized by immobilization of amine groups on a polyacrylonitrile fiber as a matrix of Cu(II) complex and Cu(OH)2 crystals growth. FE-SEM is used to monitor a pinecone-like Cu(II) crystal growth on the polymeric fiber at various growth times.3 In the images of FE-SEM, Cu(II) Complex and Cu(OH)2 crystals growth on poly(acrylo-amidino ethylene amine) and poly(acrylo-amidino diethylene triamine) are well observed. Up to an elapsed time of 16 min, only one direction crystal growth is observed. However, after an elapsed time of 20 hr, a pinecone-like crystal covers the whole surface of the synthesized polymer. For analyzing this, FT-IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction technique, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy studies are also performed in this study Fig. 1.
