제목 Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS)-ZnO: A hybrid Z-scheme photocatalyst free of noble metals for increased solar-spectrum photocatalytic conversion of CO2 to CH4
초록 We present a solar-lightactive, efficient, and highly stable hybrid Cu2ZnSnS4(CZTS)-ZnO photocatalyst synthesized in two steps. Characteristics likemorphology, crystallography, band alignment and optical properties are studiedin depth. The ability of a photocatalyst to convert CO2 into hydrocarbon fuels,usually CH4, is measured. Our best CZTS-ZnO photocatalyst sampleproduced equal CH4 levels in five test cycles, 31 times higher thanun-sensitized ZnO nanorods and 22 times higher than CZTS nanoparticles. Thehybrid, noble metal-free photocatalyst performs better because of the Z-schemeheterojunction interface's superior light absorption and charge separation.
