Both environmental and economic factors have driven the development of recycling routes for the increasing amount of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) waste generated. This poster present a chemical methods for CFRP recycling using water as a reaction medium under low temperature (typically under 100 oC). Due to the mild recycling process, the mechanical and electrical properties of recycled carbon fibers (r-CF) are maintained their virgin carbon fibers (v-CF).
