제목 Synthesis, Characterization and Solar light mediated photocatalytic activity of C-doped ZnO
초록 Carbon doped ZnO photocatalysts are synthesized using Zn(acac)2 and PAN precursors. The photocatalyst is characterized by various characterization techniques to confirm the structural integrity and analyze its properties. The photocatalytic activity of the as-prepared photocatalyst is tested for the solar light mediated photodegradation of different organic molecules. The C-doped ZnO exhibited enhanced performance as compared to undoped ZnO and commercial ZnO powder. This is attributed to the enhanced photocurrent density of C-doped ZnO owing to the bandgap excitation induced by UV and Visible light; unlike the undoped/commercial ZnO which only absorbs UV light.
