| 제목 | Study on the domain-separated iterative type I polyketide synthases |
| 초록 | The two genes encoding AviM and NNS were expressed under the control of erm promoter from Streptomyces coelicolor or T7 promoter from E. coli. We separated the domains of the PKSs AviM and NNS by gene manipulation and checked whether the separated genes could be expressed and behaved like the type II PKS found from microorganisms. The separation of the KS domain did not affect the production of the reaction products OA and NA but separation of the ACP domain resulted in no production of the anticipated products. The two KS domains from AviM and NNS were swapped but the swapping did not give any reaction products. Acknowledgement: This work was supported by the 2005 and 2006 Inje University research grant. |
