제목 Adsorption Behavior of Amphiphilic Gold Particles(AuNPs) with Different length of Hydrophobic Ligands at Liquid-Liquid Interface.
초록 Amphiphilic gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) functionalized with hydrophobic and hydrophilic ligands on their surface can beadsorbed at the hexane-water interface. In this study, we investigate the effect of the length of hydrophobic ligands on adsorption behaviors of amphiphilic AuNPs at the interface. Here, Hydrophobic ligands with 12~18 hydrocarbon such as 1-dodecanethiol (DDT), 1-tetradecathiol (TDT), and 1-octadecanethiol (ODT) were used. We found that all experimental data follow the Langmuir and Redlich-Peterson(RP) isotherm model, indicating the monolayer of AuNPs at the interface. From the modeling, the equilibrium constant (K), maximum uptake concentration (Cmax),and the interparticle distance between adsorbed AuNPs at the interface were readily obtained.
