제목 Highly Asymmetric Lamellae Formed from Bottle Brush Copolymer
초록 The self-assembly behavior of core-shell bottle brush (CSBB) copolymers are investigated by using Monte Carlo simulations and self-consistent field theoretic (SCFT) simulations. Here the CSBB is defined as a bottle brush polymer where AB diblock side chains each with a grafting A block and a terminal B block are grafted to A-type backbone. The phase maps are constructed in the parameter space of backbone length and the degree of incompatibility to explore the order-disorder transitions (ODT) and the order-order transitions (OOT). A particular focus in this study will be placed on the OOT of CSBB with asymmetric diblock side chains that occurs from nonlamellar (cylindrical or spherical) phase to asymmetric lamellar phase as the backbone length increases. Various structural characteristics of these ordered structures such as highly asymmetric lamellae are discussed in terms of molecular bending of CSBBs.
