제목 Photoinduced graft polymerization of 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine (MPC) on poly(ether-b-amide) surface for obtaining blood cell adhesion resistance
초록 Poly(ether-b-amide) (PEBA) is segmented block copolymer where the hard segment consist of polyamide and the soft segment consist of flexible polyether. PEBA has potential applications for biomedical devices such as artificial heart or catheters since it has excellent physical, dynamic properties and low density. Besides of the proper bulk properties, surface properties such as biocompatibility are very important for the polymer to be used in the biomedical devices. In this study, poly(2-methaocryloyloxyethyl-phosphorylcholine) (PMPC) was grafted onto PEBA surface using photo-induced polymerization to make the polymer resistant to blood cell adhesion. The surface analysis was performed by FT-IR, XPS, AFM, and water contact angle measurement. Blood cell adhesion resistance was evaluated by analysis of amount and distribution of platelet at the surface.
