제목 Inversion of Dominant Polarity in Ambipolar Polydiketopyrrolopyrrole with Thermally Removable Groups
초록 Recently, 3,6-(2-thiophenyl)-substituted diketopyrrolopyrrole (thiophenyl DPP)-based polymers have emerged as extremely attractive materials for electronic devices. The thiophenyl DPP unit exhibits a planar conjugated bicyclic structure with high coplanarity of the polymer backbone, which results in efficient charge transport properties with low bandgaps. Herein we report a narrow bandgap polymeric semiconductor, thiophenyl DPP based polymer bearing thermally removable groups for the formation of a hydrogen-bonded network within conjugated polymer after thermal cleavage. This polymer shows ambipolar behaviors in OFETs, and the inversion of the dominant polarity has been observed after thermal treatment. Reported here for the first time is a viable approach to selectively tune dominant polarity of charge carriers in solution-processed ambipolar OFETs, which highlights the electronically tunable ambipolarity of thermocleavable polymer by simple thermal treatment.
