Effects of high specific-surface-area conductive agents on electrochemical behaviors of supercapacitors |

In this study, activated carbon nanofibers (ACNFs) were prepared for high specific-surface-area conductive agents to enhance specific capacitance of supercapacitors. The surface and structural characteristics of ACNF were observed by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, respectively. Textural properties of new conductive agents were confirmed by N2/77K adsorption isotherm characteristics. From the results, it was found that specific surface area and pore volumes were enhanced by a certain activation process. The control both specific surface area and ACNFs’ electric conductivity was the key factor to determin the enhanced electrochemical performances of the EDLCs. |
