A relatively simple method of forming pore structure in catalyst layer of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell |
초록 |
Water management in polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) is an important factor in improving and maintaining performance. When the water is insufficient in catalyst layer, the ion conductivity is decreased, resulting in cell voltage loss. When the catalyst layer is filled with water, the supply of reactant becomes difficult and the reaction efficiency is lowered. It is well known that structure of the catalysts layer affects these problems. So, there have been many studies for improving the catalyst layer structure, such as the pore structure, using pore formers or others. However, these methods need complex process. Therefore, in this study, we proposed a method to fabricate easily the pore structure of the catalyst layer by controlling the temperature during the membrane electrode assembly fabrication. |
