In this study, ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) was applied to extract bioactive substances with anti-oxidant effect from Myconastes homosperai. Total polyphenol content, total flavonoid content, and radical scavenging activity were evaluated for anti-oxidant activity of Myconastes homosperai extract (MHE), and it was measured as 1.03 mg gallic acid equivalent/g dry matter, 0.17 mg quercetin equivalent/g dry matter, and 77.8%, respectively. There was no cytotoxicity of RAW264.7 at MHE concentrations less than 1 mg/mL. The MHE was analyzed by LC-MS/MS, and hesperetin, eriodictyol, and phloretin were identified as the main substances. These results suggest that MHE can be employed as effective anti-oxidant agent in functional foods and medicines. |
