Based on the anionic ring-opening multibranching polymerization principle (ROMBP), the synthesis of phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) which were used as a macroinitiator with series of HBP (Mn=150, 300, 450, 600) was successfully proceeded. Spectroscopic techniques were used to characterize each synthesized lipopolymer. PE-b-HBP micelle was fabricated by heating and cooling self assembly method and the size of these micelles were highly uniform between 70 nm and 120 nm. As a result, this new innovative lipopolymer series expect that they could be a valuable materials for drug delivery system. The highly uniform micelles show excellent Dox loading efficiency (36.76~47.79 %) and the Dox loaded micelles showed controlled releasing in phosphate buffer saline at body temperature. Thus, the results suggest that PE-b-HBP micelles are innovative carrier to deliver Dox for cancer therapy at physiological conditions. |
