ABSTRACT: Amphiphilic lipid layer micelles which consist of a novel lecithin phosphatidylethanolamine-b-hyperbranched polyglycidol (PE-b-HBP) was fabricated and applied as a controlled drug delivery system. By using the anionic ring-opening mutibranching polymerization, the synthesis of phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) with series of HBP (Mn=150, 300, 450, 600) was successfully achieved by using PE as a macroinitiator. Various spectroscopic techniques were used to characterize each product. PE-b-HBP micelles with different ratio of lecithin PE and HBP were fabricated by self-assembly method. As HBP molecular weight was increasing, hydrophilicity of the micelles were increased. The average diameter and zeta potential of micelles were determined using dynamic light scattering analyzer. The morphologies of micelles were observed by transmission electron microscope. |
