Polymer solar cells (PSCs) exhibit potential to provide light-weight and low-cost solar energy on flexible substrates. One of the important strategies to improve the performances of PSC devices is to design of new materials for active layer. Herein, a series of internal donor and acceptor type of copolymers containing 2,1,3-benzooxadiazole (BO), phthalimide derivatives and thiophene with different molar ratios in their repeating units were synthesized and characterized. Besides, we also investigated the effect of the amount of phthalimide on the optical, electrochemical, and photovoltaic properties of copolymers. As a result, it revealed that increasing of phthalimide component from 5% to 20%, the UV-Vis spectra of polymers were blue-shifted, the HOMO energy levels and the efficiencies of devices were decreased. |
