제목 Synthesis and characterization of halogen-substituted polymaleimide for polymeric optical waveguide
초록 Polymeric materials are of interest for optical waveguides due to the convenience of processing compared to silica-based materials. These materials, however, need for improvement in some properties such as thermal stability, thermal stress, and absorption loss at wavelength of 1.3 and 1.55μm. Fluorinated polymers are considered to be one of the candidates for optical applications. In this study, we synthesized of a series of halogen-substituted polymaleimides as the ratio three monomers changed. The characterization of their thermal stability and optical properties such as refractive index, birefringence and optical loss was performed.
