Synthesis and Characterization of the N-alkyl-2-(4-triphenylamine) fulleropyrrolidine |

Fullerene (C60) and its derivatives have attracted a great deal of attension in many research fields due to their unique structures. Understanding of the effects caused by functionalization on their material properties and device performance is one of the key issues in developing new organic semiconductors. In this work, we synthesized N-alkyl-2-(4-triphenylamine) fulleropyrrolidines by using N-methylglycine and N-ethylglycine via the Prato reaction. Their structures were confirmed by using NMR, FT-IR, and mass spectrometry. We also investigated effect of alkychain variation on the performance of organic devices based on the new fulleropyrrodines derivatives. |
