제목 Synthesis and Characterization of New Alicyclic Polyimides by bis-Diels-Alder Polymerization
초록 New polyimides containing dodecyloxy group in the side chain and alicyclic moiety in the main chain were synthesized by bis-Diels-Alder polymerization.
Diene was generated from tetrakisbromo compound prepared by side chain bromination of methyl group of 1,4-bis(dodecyloxy)-2,3,5,6-tetramethyl benzene, which had been synthesized from duroquinone as a starting material via consecutive reduction and o-alkylation. Dienophiles, bismaleimides, were prepared by fluoro substitution from 4-fluoro nitrobenzene and various diols, followed by reduction and imidization. To obtain better understanding of the structures of the polymers to be prepared, model compound was synthesized from tetrakisbromo compound and N-phenyl maleimide by bis-Diels-Alder reaction. Bis-Diels-Alder polymerization was carried out in NMP at elevated temperature. The structures and properties of the polymers were characterized by spectroscopic devices and thermal analyser
