Direct splitting of water using a particulate photocatalyst would be a good way to produce clean and recyclable hydrogen on a large scale. There are many organic semiconductor photocatalyst for production of fuel hydrogen. The organic semiconductor like disulfide (–S–S–) bridged C3N3S3 polymer is very favorable for the production of hydrogen form water using visible light via photochemical reaction. The present study focused on the synthesis and characterization of novel microwave exfoliated graphene filled poly (thiocyanuric acid) (C3N3S3) composite. Structural and morphological characterizations of the synthesized polymer composites were done using various tools such as FT-IR, XRD, XPS, TGA, FE-SEM and TEM. Finally, H2-producing efficiency of the synthesized photocatalyst were determined using photocatalytic activity testing and photoelectrochemical measurements. |
