Block copolymers are fascinating materials of unique properties for many applications, such as drug delivery, nano- and micro-encapsulation, emulsification, nano-patterning, etc. For the synthesis of well-defined block copolymers, atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) has beeninvestigated. We demonstrate the modified ATRP technique for poly(caprolactone)-block-poly(2-hydroxy ethyl methacrylate)(PCL-b-PHEMA) copolymers witha narrow molecular weight distribution. The effect of comonomer, methyl methacrylate, styrene, and SnOct2 as a catalysis regeneration agent were investigated. |
