Synthesis and characterization of graphene oxide / polypyrrole composites for an improved electrochemical properties |

Polypyrrole (PPy) and graphene oxide (GO) composites were synthesized by a simple electropolymerization using the cyclic voltammetry (CV). We analyzed the morphology and structure of the as-prepared composites by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transition electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Electrochemical performances were also examined by cyclic voltammetry (CV) with a working electrode, a platinum counter electrode, and Ag/AgCl (saturated KCl) electrode as reference electrode. The composites showed highly improved specific capacitance than pure PPy at various scan rates. The PPy / GO electrode is promising composite with enhanced electrochemical properties. |
