제목 Cytocompatibility of Low Molecular Weight Chitosan Prepared by Chemical Methods
초록 In this study, we prepared LMC by three different hydrolysis method respectively, HCl, NaNO2 and enzyme hydrolysis, for comparing the cytocompatibility. LMC prepared from HCl hydrolysis was fractionated to four fraction by using UF membrane and LMC prepared from NaNO2 hydrolysis was fractionated by methanol precipitation method. The cytocomptibility of LMC was investigated by using the human fibroblast cell line. In the results, the toxicity of LMC at 100mg/ml was decreased in order of HCl, NaNO2 and enzyme hydrolysis, but at 10ng/ml toxicity of LMC was decreased greatly and the toxicity of LMC prepared from enzyme hydrolysis was greater than HCl and NaNO2 hydrolysis. As molecular weight of LMC was increased, toxicity of LMC was increased. By these results, it was considered that LMC prepared from the acid hydrolysis indicates low toxicity comparing with the enzyme hydrolysis.
