제목 순환유동층 반응기를 이용한 HDPE 입자의 CF4 플라즈마 표면개질
초록 A low-pressure plasma surface treatment of polymeric powders was carried out in a circulating fluidized bed (CFB) reactor (10mm-I.D. 800mm-high) with CF4 glow discharge. The effects of solid circulation rate, treatment time and radio frequency (rf) power of plasma on fluorination of HDPE powders have been determined. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and the contact angle measurements were used to characterize the surfaces of powders. Solid holdup in the CFB plasma reactor mainly governs the stability of plasma glow and the surface property of the powders. Surface of HDPE powders is fluorinated into CHF-CH2, CHF-CHF and CF2 groups. The extent of fluorination increases up to 54% with the treatment time and rf power. The performance of CFB reactor is compared to that in a bubbling fluidized bed based on a composite parameter [(W/FM)t] and the composite parameter per given powder inventory [(W/FM)t]/I. The CFB reactor out performs about 1.6 times compared to a bubbling fluidized bed to modify the polymeric surface from hydrophilic to hydrophobic.
