제목 FAU 지올라이트 멤브레인을 이용한 베젠과 사이클로핵산의 분리
초록 Adsorption isotherms for single-component benzene and cyclohexane, as well as an equimolar mixture of them, were determined for FAU-type zeolite powder at 373 K. For the single-component systems, the adsorbed amount of benzene was higher than that of cyclohexane. For the mixture, however, the isotherm showed a typical azeotrope. An FAU-type zeolite membrane was formed on the outer surface of porous -Al2O3 support tubes by a hydrothermal synthesis, and permeation of benzene and cyclohexane through the membrane was investigated in the temperature range of 350-420 K. The permeance to cyclohexane was higher than that to benzene for the single component systems, but the permeance to benzene was significantly higher than that to cyclohexane for the mixture. The permeation rates were also dependent on the partial pressures on the permeate side. The highest separation factor of 107 was obtained when the sweep gas flow rate was 100 ccm at 373 K. The high selectivity for the mixture was explained based on the isotherms with an azeotrope.
