제목 Desorption characteristics of magnetically modified alginic acid for Pb2+ and Cd2+
초록 Abstract Desorption process is very important no less than adsorption of heavy metals, especially, in batch process. A systematic desorption study on recover of heavy metals (Pb2+ and Cd2+ ions) adsorbed onto magnetically modified alginic acid which was already developed as the new adsorbent was performed, in this work. To select the best desorbing agent, three chemicals such as, HCl, HNO3, and NaCl was used. Among them, desorption efficiency of heavy metals using HCl was the highest. Therefore, the HCl was selected as desorbing agent and the effect of HCl concentration, S/L ratio, initial metal loading capacity, and time on desorption efficiency of heavy metals (Pb2+ and Cd2+ ions) was investigated. Regeneration of magnetically modified alginic acid using HCl as a desorbent was also performed.
