In vitro investigation on the osteoblastic responses to propolis loaded chitosan-alginate scaffolds |
초록 |
We synthesized the blend scaffolds using chitosan-alginate known as biocompatible and biodegradable natural polymers. The surface of these scaffolds was modified using inorganic compounds which can enhance biocompatibility and bone regeneration. Propolis is a natural extraction from bees which can stimulate new bone formation. In this study, we focused on synthesizing propolis loaded chitosan-alginate scaffolds for bone tissue engineering. Osteoblastic MG63 cell was used to examine the cellular proliferation and differentiation. The result demonstrated that the propolis loaded chitosan-alginate scaffolds can be a potential candidate as a drug delivery carrier to hard tissue. |
