Since silicon and carbon have their merits of high capacity and good cycle performance, respectively, Si@carbon composites have received much attention as a good candidate for anode materials in Li-ion battery. Most of works, however, have adopted a simple mechanical milling method to obtain the composites, so there has been difficulties in improving their anodic performances. This work therefore aimed at improving the anodic performance of the Si@carbon composite by fabricating its morphology into nanofibers via electrospinning of its precursor composite, i.e. Si@PAN and subsequent carbonization. The electrochemical performances of the fibrous composite anode were discussed in comparison with there of powder type counterparts. |
