Hemodiagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is emerging as promising alternative of cerebrospinal fluid-based methods. However, blood sample has infinitesimal amount of AD biomarker and miscellaneous interference is present in blood. Here, we suggest a nanoplasmonic biosensor using gold nanorods with chaotropic agent for detecting Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers in human blood. This nanoplasmonic biosensor is based on the localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR). Also, using chaotropic agent, we can overcome the obstacles of blood-based AD diagnostics. This system can accurately diagnose AD patients by reducing the overlapping ranges between protein concentrations in an age-matched control and AD patients’ blood in the clinical samples. This platform can interpret disease from mild cognitive impairment and a standardized blood biomarker correlated with Alzheimer’s disease. As a result, our platform can be applied to clinical trial and thus it has great potential in medical field
