제목 Synthesis and characterization of Poly(carbazole)-based Anion Exchange Materials for Electrochemical Applications
초록 Anion exchange membranes(AEM) have been considered as the promising electrolyte for anion exchange membrane fuel cell(AEMFC). Also, AEMFC has recently received significant attention as a power generation device. AEMFC enhanced oxygen reduction catalysis, allowing the use of Pt-free or precious group metal(PGM)-free catalysts. To achieve high-performance AEMFC, AEM required that high OH- ion conductivity and good stability. Herein, we have synthesized the IEC-controlled quaternised poly(carbazole)(QPC-TMA) with rigid ether-free and curved backbone structure comprised of carbazole monomers. A series of QPC-TMA were superacid-catalyzed polymerization and in-situ quaternization. In particular, we measured the alkaline stability, ion exchange capacity, SAXS and ion conductivity of AEM.
