KIER, a government sponsored research institute(GSRI), needs to implement a mid- and long- term energy technology development plan for addressing the issues of radical changes in energy environment and the measures for the climate change. We also set up the roles and responsibility of KIER as a GSRI. We face to the renewal of previous mid- and long term energy technology development plan which was build in 2015. For addressing the current and upcoming national agenda in the sector of energy technology development, we set a target period, which is 2035 and it is extended to cover longer time period comparing with the previous plan. In this research, we employ the back casting approach for building the mid- and long-term energy technology development plan for 2035. This research shows what is the future images of society and the roles of energy technology in macro prospective. |
