In an effort to achieve the more sustainable thermo-chemical process for the carbonaceous materials, this study particular use carbon dioxide (CO2) as reactive gas medium. Thus, this study laid great emphasis on elucidating the mechanistic role of CO2 during the thermo-chemical process. All experimental results significantly suggested that CO2 provided a strategic means for modifying the compositional matrix of pyrogenic products by means of the homogeneous reactions between CO2 and volatile matters (VMs) Based on these rationales, CO2 could be utilized in the diverse environmental and energy applications. Thus, this study mainly reported the possible utilization of CO2 in various technical applications. |
