We designed a reusable sensor with antibacterial effect using combination of alkaline phosphatase-sensitive carbon dot (ALPCD), iron oxide (Fe3O4) and NIR-responsive cesium tungsten oxide (CsWO3), which intercalated into montmorillonite (MMT). ALPCD-Fe3O4-CsWO3@MMT showed strong fluorescence that were quenched when p-nitrophenyl phosphate (NPP) enters hydrophobic site of β-cyclodextrin in ALPCD then hydrolyzed into p-nitrophenol (NP) in the presence of bacterial ALP. The composite showed high antibacterial effect under NIR light due to generation of photothermal heat. Moreover, this material was recyclable under magnetic field due to the presence of Fe3O4 and reusable after fluorescence were recovered by pH shock and re-conjugation of β-cyclodextrin. Thus, this material is promising for detection and killing of bacteria which is simple, effective and reusable. This work was supported by Korea National University of Transportation in 2019. |
