제목 3D Cancer Cell Chip for the Detection of Anticancer Drug Effects.
초록 In this presentation, we introduce a novel three-dimensional (3D) cancer chip to simulate 3D tumor cell growth in vitro and to detect anticancer drugs using a three-floor hierarchical 3D pyramid structure. The proposed 3D pyramid based cancer cell chip provides a significant advantage for tumor cell aggregate formation, in which cells could be maintained as tumor spheroids for up to three weeks. HeLa tumor cells were seem to be suspended between the pillars viewed in a scanning electron microscopy image after they were attached to the micropatterned pillar sidewalls. We summarize our experiments regarding treatment for 3D tumor spheroids with the anticancer drug oleanolic acid, and elaborated on their chemoresistance. Through these studies we have been able to demonstrate the usefulness of micrometer sized 3D pyramidal scaffolds in anti-cancer drug screening or be incorporated into other models studying cell functions in 3D culture.
