Preparation of flexible resistive micro-humidity sensors using quaternary-ammonium modified grapheme oxide and their humidity-sensing properties |

Polymeric micro-humidity sensors have had the advantage that the high processability of the material allows. In addition, ease of processing reduced costs and good mechanical properties provided robustness and flexibility that enabled applications involving dynamic stresses strains and vibration. GO, a single thin sheet of graphite oxide that conventionally served as a precursor material for preparing graphene have received increasing attentions in the application of sensor devices due to its inherent electrical properties. The presence of sp3-bonded hybridized carbon atoms weakened the conductivity and enhanced the hydrophilic property of GO. This study was motivated to investigate the humidity sensing properties of GO modified with quaternary ammonium salts. Modified GO thin films were deposited onto flexible micro electrode as a humidity sensing layer. The DC measurements and AC complex impedance spectroscopy of the GO-film on interdigitated electrode were performed by using impedance analyzer and LCR meter. |
