The RuO2 electrode has been extensively applied for the electrochemical water treatment system due to high oxidants generation, inexpensive cost and environmentally friendly process. However, the effects of electrode surface characteristics have not yet been investigated from the point of view of oxidants evolution. In this study, RuO2 electrodes manufactured by thermal decomposition method were analyzed by SEM, EDS, XPS and XRD to clarify the correlation between the electrode surface characteristics and oxidant evolution. |
