Improvement of thermal conductivity of PI/BNNS composite films by controlling of internal structure through stretching process |

The use of polymers and polymer composites as thermally conductive materials is increasing for weight loss, low cost, facile processibility and high performance. In this work, we demonstrate that enhanced thermal conductivity of polyimide (PI) composites using boron nitride nano sheet (BNNS) by stretching. For better efficiency of thermal conductive filler, boron nitride (BN) was exfoliated by ultra-sonication and their shape was confirmed by AFM and TEM. A PAA/BNNS composite film was prepared by film casting and a custom-made film stretching apparatus was used to determine the stretching profile. Internal structures of composite film were characterized by SAXS and WAXD and also thermal conductivities of composite films were analyzed in terms of their internal structures. |
