제목 | Preparation and characterization of nano-sized liposomes using phosphatidyl choline |
초록 | Liposomes are lipoid vesicles, which are destabilized in the aqueous medium and release their contents into the medium. The liposomal delivery system can be applied to administrate the drug and other bioactive agent. In this research, the nano-sized liposomes were prepared using the phosphatidyl choline. The size and size distribution of the liposomes was controlled by composition of solvents which composed of ethylene glycol, butylenes glycol and propylene glycol. The size of liposome was observed using the laser light scattering and scanning electron microscopy. To investigate the encapsulation into the liposome, the calcein was used as a model agent. The size and size distribution and the encapsulation efficiency were investigated in the encapsulated liposome. The long-term release of calcein was measured using a UV-spectroscopy. Thus, such a novel nano-sized liposome system may have potential to deliver drug and other bioactive agents. Fig. 1. Particle size and size ditribution fo phosphatidyl choline liposome |
