Synthesis and Photoresponsive Behavior of Azobenzene Bearing Homo- and Co-Poly(vinylether)s |
| 초록 |
Azobenzene bearing homo- and co-poly(vinylether)s were synthesized by conventional cationic polymerization. Photoisomerization behavior was characterized in terms of influences of temperature and polymer composition by using UV-visible spectroscopy. The results showed that the isomerization efficiency became higher by raising the temperature moderately or by increasing the comonomer content. These suggest that the isomerization efficiency strongly depends on the free volume in the polymer in which freedom in motion of the azobenzene is promised. |
