제목 The influence of graphene-oxide nanoparticle on neural stem cell self-renewal and differentiation
초록  Due to their unique electrical, mechanical properties graphene oxide(GO) has been attracted increasing attention in many fields. Since GO is biocompatible, it has been widely studied in biology fields. Previous studies reported that GO surface can induce differentiation of stem cells. In this study, we wanted to see the effect of GO on human neural stem cells (hNSCs) differentiation and self-renewal in the same time. However, to maintain the stemness of hNSCs, it should be floated forming neurosphere which is not possible on 2D GO surfaces. Also cell culture surfaces are used to be coated for active differentiation of hNSCs, diminishing the effect of GO itself. To satisfy the both self-renew and differentiation condition with GO, we used GO nanoparticles blended in the culture media, forming hNSC neurosphere containing GO nanoparticles. In result, GO treated NSCs showed enhanced self-renewal ability under self-renewal condition and differentiated better under differentiation condition, showing the possibility of controlling the status of stem cells.
