제목 Pseudo-crystalline mesoporous structures created by collapse of polymersomes of dendritic-linear block copolymers
초록 We report new pseudo-crystalline mesoporous structures formed by collapse of polymer vesicles (polymersomes) made from the self-assembly of block copolymers built on a dendritic hydrophilic block. For this study, we synthesized block copolymers based on a dendritic poly(ethylene glycol) hydrophilic block, which was composed of short peripheral PEG chains. The collapse of polymersomes was induced by the instability of the bilayer membrane caused from the 'crew-cut' nature of hydrophilic corona of the bilayer. We examined the kinetic pathway of the collapse of polymersomes by tracing the self-assembly process via quenching experiments. TEM visualization of the self-assembly process of dendritic-linear block copolymers revealed an entirely new morphology obtained from block copolymer self-assembly in solution.
